The WM2Y measure is a wellbeing measure for First Nations Youth aged 12-17 years old. It Is culturally grounded, and strengths based, developed from the voices, views and experiences of First Nations Youth from across Australia
Introduction

What this survey measures
This survey is structured around 7 scales.
Overall Scale
The this measure made up of 20 statements about the parts of life that matter to First Nations youth covering the following areas : Friendships, relationships, connections, support , enjoyment, strength, resilience, aspirations, empowerment, respect, racisim, culture, country and connection. The higher the score the better
Sub-scales
This is all about the people in your life. It's about having good friends, feeling supported by others, and having people who are there for you and who listen to you.
This is about having fun and feeling good. It's about having a place where you can relax and being able to do things that you enjoy, like playing sports, listening to music, playing games etc
This is about how you handle tough times. It's about being able to keep going when things get hard, staying calm when you have a lot on your plate, and knowing how to deal with stress. It’s also about feeling happy.
This is about your goals and your ability to make good choices for yourself. It’s about having a safe place to go, feeling proud of what you do, and feeling good about what the future holds for you.
This is about how you are treated by others. It's specifically about whether you feel respected as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and if you are treated fairly.
This is about your identity and your connection to your heritage. It's about being able to connect with your culture and with Country, which refers to your traditional lands.
